Why sit in a classroom when you can learn by doing, and why put up with Midwest winters? Rob moved from Iowa to California, where he attended a four-year mechanics program, became state-certified in electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems as well as metal fabrication, and joined the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Over the years, he’s been a land surveyor, housebuilder, and windsurfing instructor, and also earned AutoCAD certification. Adding to these diverse previous experiences more than 10 years of experience in multifamily projects, Rob is a practical, hands-on problem solver. These days he wakes up glad to be alive, glad for his family and upbringing, and glad for such after-work pleasures as adventures with motorcycles, paddleboarding, windsurfing, building, and playing guitar.
